Ride Share? Tent Share? Hotel Share? Comment here.

As I recently updated the wiki to say:
"This wiki is now deprecated. Fuck you, spamming scum.

There will be a livejournal (.com) entry in the Baitcon community to cover people asking for or offering rides. Anonymous posting, or OpenID posting will be supported, and the entry will be deleted at the end of every year."

This is that entry.

Please comment here if you need, or can offer a ride, a tent (or space in one), or a space in a hotel/bnb room.

We'll try to keep this in line, should spammers notice in the next month, and delete the whole thing at the end.

Anonymous commenting is available for folks who don't have LJ accounts, as is OpenID-based auth.

So we've met the minimum?

Squirrelitude, I, and our 16-month-old daughter will need transportation to the Abode. Probably the sanest thing for all parties involved would be if somebody could pick us up at the Pittsfield Amtrak station and drop us off there after the event. Is there any talk of a shuttle system for this type of situation? Is anybody willing to step up to volunteer to come get us? I'd be happy to reciprocate in some combination of gas money on the day of, and dinner, cookies, or brownies after we're back in Boston...

(If someone was super enthusiastic about driving us all the way from Boston, we'd consider that as well...)

Here's some data about the option of taking the train from Boston to Pittsfield:

The location of the Pittsfield Amtrack station is 1 Columbus Ave, Pittsfield, MA 01201, and the address of the Abode is 5 Abode Rd, New Lebanon, NY 12125. According to Google Maps, the driving distance between these points is just over 10 miles, or about 20 minutes. The Lake Shore Limited leaves Boston South Station at 12:50 pm and arrives at 4:39 pm. The train back leaves Pittsfield at at 4:09 pm and gets back to Boston at 8:01 pm. This is a bit more challenging. Baitcon ends at 2 pm on Monday. Leaving at 2 pm would require cooling our heels in the Pittsfield train station for a couple of hours, not thrilling. (However, I can help with tear-down and thereby earn the favor of staying a little later than 2 on Monday.) The round-trip cost for 1 adult and 1 child is at this point $60. (It could be a little less BUT they seem to limit the availability of "Saver" tickets.)

So, can someone pick up 2 passengers in Pittsfield on Friday evening? Can someone drop off 2 passengers in Pittsfield on Monday evening?
