My goal is to make about 100 of these spoon necklaces in time for Baitcon, and I'm making steady progress (I've made about 30 so far). I have all the Mardi Gras beads I need (thanks, persis!), but you can help by bringing me spoons. I prefer second-hand spoons, so I've been checking for them at Goodwill and Salvation Army whenever I'm in the vicinity (and so has nurrynur -- thank you!). If you happen to live or work near a thrift store outside of the Camberville area, and can arrange to bring me spoons in the next week or two, I'd much appreciate it!

Alternatively, if you're coming to Baitcon from afar and have access to a drill press, then you can prepare your own spoons and I'll bring extra ball-chain and necklaces.

a few Baitcon spoons from before being at this site that Kim told us not to bother to return. I'd happily donate this to cause. Or, if you'd be willing to put holes in them for us we'd be happy to have them back and look for others.

It's up to you -- if you want to add them to my collection, I'd happily put holes in them. But if you're actively using them as, y'know, everyday spoons, then maybe you should hold onto them.

I have seven spoons that I've accumulated, but never use. I have no drill press. I work in Medford, so it's easy for me to get to Camberville with them. I'd love to see these spoons turned into spoon necklaces! How do I get them to you? Post here, use LJ private message, or JB and Kimberly have my email address.

I'm glad to hear S enjoys her spoon. I think I'll have about 130 spoons to give away this year, thanks to Kimberly going above and beyond in procuring spoons for me. :)
