Feeling out the masses...

Ok, now that I have your attention...;-D

J and I have confirmation that our tent is accessible (thank you [livejournal.com profile] gosling and [livejournal.com profile] ceo!!) and thus we won't be needing to borrow one. [livejournal.com profile] kimberlogic has graciously offered to lend us pillows/sheets/blankets. We have an inflatable mattress that we can bring over but would be nice to not need to shlep it across der pond. Also, J will be returning the car LI afterwards but I am free to hitch a ride back to MA if'n there's space.

So:

- does anyone have an extra inflatable mattress (double-sized would work but queen would be perfect)
- is there anyone who might have a tiny space that I could squeeze into for the ride back to MA and could deposit me at [livejournal.com profile] sunspiral and [livejournal.com profile] roozle's? (they will likely have a very full car and not much space for extra passengers)*

- is there anything else I forgot, equipment-wise or otherwise?

Howdy. We'd be very happy to return you to Melrose on Sunday. We have plenty of room, just hadn't gotten around to posting on the rideshare board yet. We might even get to *talk* to each other on the ride! :-)

Since I will be in SF, my double airmattress is at your service!

How about I pass it to Tim? He can plan to bring it unless you tell him otherwise.

It comes with a plug-in pump--I do not know what the facilities are at this new space, but two years ago that was not a problem. And, Qwrrty has agreed to bring it for you!

Make sure they provide some aviator goggles if they try that one, as the wind at 50 MPH REALLY dries out your eyes,

Well, we only got up to 30 or 40 Mph, and my eyes weren't the only ones stinging, so I'm just assuming 50mph would be worse.

I wasn't strapped to the car at the time, but leaning out of it having a light saber duel on route 30 in Indiana. There were about six cars involved, and at least two duels going on at any given moment.

The fact that the highway was only two lanes wide really limited us and prevented a three car wide battle swath.

We were all glad I had some eye drops in my dorm room. IT was a new bottle and it ended up pretty much empty after one evening. The only person who didn't have dry, stinging eyes was the guy in the Darth Vader costume, but the rest of the costume really limited his movements. The cape trailing in the wind looked cool though.

Now there's an image. Might be a while before you got on the road, though. ;-)
