Anyone have a freezer?

Baitcon's suddenly down a freezer.

Does anyone have one we could borrow?

We're very much hoping to not have to rent anything bigger than a minivan, so a reasonable sized chest freezer would be best.

Also, someplace around Boston, or on the way to NY would be best, but we can talk about other locations.

Let me know...

Thanks!
JB, and a horde of ravening ice-cream eaters. :)

I have a vertical freezer you can use. It's in my basement, unplugged, with the door off. Was functional when I got it. You see, I got it from someone else and never had anyone visit who knew how to attach the door. I'm sure someone at baitcon can figure out how to accomplish that vastly technical feat.

And when you return it I'll have a freezer with a door on it so I can start using it! win-win for everyone!

I haven't heard anything yet. Do you still want to borrow the freezer, or have you made other arrangements?

That sounds like a better solution than us trying to eat up the rest of the food in our chest freezer so it'll be empty in time for Baitcon -- potentially possible but difficult :-)

yeah. i don't think we could get through all ours, and our normal freezer doesn't have space to shift things to :(

someone might want to check on how quickly you'll be able to get the freezer back to temp after it's been laid on its back... i got all sorts of warnings in my info packet about my chest freezer about not plugging it in if it had not remained upright. i don't know if the vertical ones are different...

All freezers (and fridges and A/Cs) hate being tilted. So you'll need to wait a while after moving them for the internal fluids to go back to their normal state before plugging it back in.

indeed. we're pretty used to it :)
