hibiscus

I just received a bunch of dried (food-grade) Hibiscus flowers and flower-water.
It is very tempting to push off the Roasted Cinnamon Ice Cream I'd been planning and try a Hibiscus & white tea sorbet. I probably don't have enough time to pull that together though ...

Upon request, I'm repeating the Chocolate-Chocolate-Chip that uses only coconut milk&cream for the base and thus offers another vegan option in addition to flavors that use soy bases.

Take a look at my two tea based flavors I just posted. These would work well if you substituted the hibiscus for the orange tea or the crysanthemum! For sorbet, both seemed to need a little alcohol to keep from freezing like rocks. Want some brandi or liquor to use? I just decanted an orange liquor I made this winter....

Yum! to both. I'd appreciate a batch of the latter - i love coconut milk-based frozen concoctions very much. :)
