Ride-age

Hallo all!

* Anyone heading to Baitcon from Western NY or NYC and have room for one more person on the return journey? I'm ultimately trying to get to Buffalo or Hamilton or Toronto, but coach tickets from NYC are cheaper, as are tickets from Rochester (for example).

* Alternatively, anyone able to drop me off in Albany? It's super-close to the site.

* And, anyone heading *to* Baitcon from Boston?

Can't express how excited I am that I can come this year; I'm having all sorts of thoughts and ideas about ice cream flavours, but I need to take a look at past flavours to see if any of them are too passe to be worthwhile.

not sure if we can help

I'm going to be taking a train to Albany (I took a train up to Albany for another reason yesterday, and came back today -- it was less than $40 each way, and nominally less than 3 hours too (although both trains were a bit delayed, taking just under 3 hours up and just over 3 hours back).

When I get to Albany, a friend of mine who, unfortunately for offering ride space, drives an itty bitty sports car, will be picking me up at the train station (I think he knows this; He certainly knows it's a possibility) and driving us the rest of the way to BaitCon.

If you're coming from the NYC area and you don't have a ride and you do have someone willing to pick you up in Albany, I highly recommend training.

OTOH, the $37 tickets are apparently good on Thursday and good on Sunday, but not so much on Friday... on Friday, the tickets are $59. Who knew?

Could give you a ride from BOS-Baitcon

We will be travelling from the Boston area to Baitcon, and have room in our car, if you are still looking for a ride. Feel free to respond to the email on my userpage, or reply in comment here (it will show up in my home email inbox either way)
