lavender and no raspberries

If anyone would like fresh lavender for ice cream or other purposes, please let me know by Thursday evening. I have 6 lavender bushes in bloom right now and would be happy to share the wealth.

Last year I was able to bring a quart of raspberries from my garden, which I shared with people as they arrived on Friday, but this year the berries are ripening later, so that won't be possible.

I wouldn't mind saving you from dealing with all of that fresh lavender by yourself. A dozen or two springs would be a lovely addition to my attempts.

My raspberries are just now starting to change from green to "hint o red". Can't wait til they're ready!

Stop n shop has blueberries for sale at 99 cents per (larger) container this week. Yum!

The wild black ones will be the first to go for me. They are red now. Summer blacks will be next, then the reds I think.

Though lavender doesn't figure into my ice cream plans -- wait!! I just got a crazy idea and would like some to try.

But that first thought went-- can you spare any for making lavender sugar later for some shortbread cookies?? No need to lug along sprigs for that second interest, though...

If you want to come by and get some after Baitcon, I think you know where we live and it's a slight detour from South Hampton, NH. It will be at its height for about another week or two.

Nevin the caretaker wants to do a lavender flavor this year, so definitely bring some... Though I wonder if he has that figured out already... bring it anyway. :)
