I've been wanting to try it for ages, since David and Ellen brought an article from (Natural History?) about it many years ago.
We'll need to remember the iron rods for beating it if we do it.

.. That sounds gorgeous.. unfortunately, everything I see suggests that it is illegal to ship true Salep out of the country due to conservation concerns, so I think that the iron rods are going to be the least of the worries.. :)

You used to be able to get a particular brand of mastic ice creams at the convenience store on Mass Ave next to Pemberton Farms. The texture was kind of fun and they were tasty enough, though I could never find a lot of difference between the flavors. Orchid doesn't taste like much.
