We know that the economic downturn has hit many of us pretty hard. And summer offers many options and too little vacation time. Registrations numbers for Baitcon XX are currently well below the minimum number of people needed in order to host the event. If we have not reached the minimum (100 adults) by our cancellation deadline of May 26th, we will regrettably have to cancel the event for this year.

If you are planning to attend, please consider registering soon!

Even if I had the time and the money (both being in short supply) the date also conflicts with another event I prefer. As it is, I'm not going to either one. So, I hope you all get 100 people and have a fantastic weekend full of sunshine and icecream :) -H...

Consider making HOW to register a little more prominent. I've been staring at the website for two minutes and still can't find it. Like, link directly from any blog entries begging us to register, for example?

Also, now that I found it, I evidently screwed it up and there's no way visible to correct it. Oh well. You're reg system now thinks I owe you $300 for me and Jon (I thought it meant 2 total, not 2 additional), and then another $100 for Jon since there's no "Someone else is paying for me" option that I could find when you have to register separately. It may be there, but it is not obvious.

Seconded. Or if you send another email out next week put the direct link to registration in it, or at least tell people to look on the left navigation bar and find Baitcon XX and that the registration link will be there. I'd looked in a couple different places, and usually do halfway decently at finding stuff, but it took me a fair while.
