awkward logistics

I'm looking to see if anyone else has weird time-conflicts that might complement mine.

It turns out I have an awkward conflict with Baitcon this year that, if I am to honor it, would require that I be back in Boston by about 3pm Saturday. I'm thinking of many ways this might work.

-It's possible (though admittedly kind of insane) that I could come back for my Saturday evening event, then *return* to the con, but I wouldn't want to do the extra round trip in my mini-van. My mini-van has lots of people/cargo space and gets poor gas-mileage. I could drive someone's stuff down, and drive their fuel-efficient car back for the round-trip, for instance.
OR
-Maybe there's someone who wants to go, but can't get out of Boston until Saturday evening, and would ride back down with me.
OR
-I could just go for the one night, but then either palmwiz would need a ride back, or he would ride his bike back and his stuff would need a ride back.

Anyone have any transportation needs that dovetail with any of this in an interesting and helpful way?

This reminds me that we need to get the rideboard up and running. We'll do that this weekend!

I have been trying to figure out if there is any reason for sunspiral and me to come in two cars. The Subaru is not amazingly gas-efficient to tell the truth (on the order of 25 mpg highway. Maybe barely better than the van *sigh*) However, I want us to have room for kids' friends and if the Lefton party member count goes to 5, we're a tight squeeze in the mini-van, people and stuff.

A plausible scenario in my head is: sunspiral drives most people and stuff out, possibly earlier than I can get out of town. I drive Subaru and leftover people in my car. You and palmwiz make your own sweet time on Friday. Saturday, you take my car back to the city. Sunday, we redistribute people and gear among two mini-vans and it all comes back to Boston. You'd still have the option of turning around and coming back, but that could be decided on the fly.

There should be actual face-to-face conversation among us all about this. Consider this to be random musing until then.
