[identity profile] tamidon.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] baitcon
After hearing from a few folx, and reading in various lj's, I see some people think it might be a good idea to head over to Baitcon early. I understand the thinking, why bother going to work, just pile in and head on down. As the last member(I think) of the concom still online until friday morning, I will take it upon myself to explain the Baitcon rules. This is from me, but it does apply.

Do not show up before 3pm, no matter what!!!

This applies to everyone, from those who are first timers, to those who have known Jailbait since he was jailbait.

The problem with showing up early is this: There is one way in and one way out. Any cars on the path block it up. Trucks are delivering all sorts of stuff from port-o-potties to LNO2. Wiring and infrastructure is going on. Even one carload of people showing up "Just to drop something off, we'll be out of here in a second" can screw the whole system up.Thinking that you can lend a hand in return for showing up early just messes things up too, unless you are known to be coming early and this has been agreed upon.We know this from experience, we are not saying this just to be hardass.

So please, unless you have *specific* permission from JB or Kimberly, don't show up until 3pm friday. Stop in town, visit the nice stores and galleries, there's a nice pub for lunch. Check out the falls on your way up.

Thak you very much for listening, and I look forward to seeing you all at Baitcon, it's gonna be great this year.
