Baitcon Cookbook Status
Jun. 20th, 2005 08:08 amFinal totals:
169 pages plus several blank sheets at the end for people to hand write in any recipes that they want but didn't make the recipe deadline.
128 recipes total
84 recipes for frozen stuff, ice cream, sorbets, sherbets...
meal recipes
baked goods recipes
special recipes for sugar free ice creams and gluten free baked goods
Kimberly being silly
Many many photographs (most taken from my own archives but also many taken from the pages at baitcon.org.
Photos on almost every page.
Several full page photo collages.
I removed the section on miserable failures since I only had one submission that anyone would admit to being a failure and it wouldn't have been fair to the person who created the recipe to have been the only one thought to be a failure, so I just inserted that recipe in with the other regular recipes.
I have 10 more copies of the divides to print, then I start the actual pages.
I decided to do 40 copies afterall, 12 are already spoken for. If I sell out (hopefully) at Baitcon, I will take orders and make more and mail them to people.
Cost will be $10 each.
I already spent $200. on ink and will need more by the end of this week (I already get my ink in bulk, a dozen cartridges at a time, and I get a discount when I order on-line) Unless someone wants to offer the use of a color laser printer they will be printed on my ink jet. (believe it or not, even with the price of ink, it's less expensive than just doing color photocopies at $1. each (6000 copies.))
If I do happen to make more money off this than what I have spent I will donate whatever is left after cost to the Baitcon Red Ink Fund. (BRIF?)
If you want a copy, comment here and I'll put your name on one to be picked up at Baitcon this year, or we can make arrangements for it to be mailed or picked up by someone else if you can't be there this year.
