Sound System for Baitcon Pavilion Events

Last year I borrowed sound equipment for the Baitcon contra dance and had the use of a minivan to get four of us to Baitcon with all of our luggage, camping gear, and the sound system. This year, the minivan is gone, so it will likely be all I can do to transport four people and camping gear.

I'm hoping that other people can bring enough equipment to build the system.

What we'll need are:

• Powered speakers -- One of these will be used as a monitor so at least two, preferably three of these will be required


• Mixer -- I think we can squeak by with eight channels, twelve would be luxurious


• Microphones -- At least six


• Microphone stands


• DI boxes


• XLR cables & connectors to connect all of this


• Power cables


• A wireless microphone with headset would likely be of use for the grand march
