Ride sought (DCish) and a gelato sign

(semicrossposted - had thought I had posted to baitcon but had in fact posted to my own journal and got increasingly confused by all the people I didn't think were on this comm responding)

1) I am hoping not to drive up alone, though I suppose it wouldn't be the end of the world - I have places I can visit en rte. Dcseain has room in the car but is going up for prep, and while i would be happy to help they are trying to limit how many people arrive early.

2) the gelato place on Bethesda row has an impressive flavor selection. Mango Lime Habanero and Thai Coconut Milk went together nicely. I think I like the mango better than coconut.

huh. Looks like my iPad lj app "helpfully" crossposted to my own journal the first time, and when I saw it over in my journal I didn't realize it was /also/ over in Baitcon. (I had been getting increasingly confused by "wait, she's subscribed to baitcon? and him, too?")

Ah. apparently my ipad lj app helpfully posted to both my journal and baitcon. the bulk of the responses were on my journal, and folks who i didn't think were subbed to baitcon, and when I finally realized it was posted to mine I didn't realize it was /also/ posted to baitcon. oops. I should copy ambyr's response re opal basil to vibrantabyss
