As I updated the wiki to say a year or 2 ago:
"This wiki is now deprecated. Fuck you, spamming scum.

There will be a dreamwidth (.org) entry in the Baitcon community to cover people asking for or offering rides. Anonymous posting, or OpenID posting will be supported, and the entry will be deleted at the end of every year."

This is that entry. (No, registration is not actually open yet. Soon. Promise.)

Please comment here if you need, or can offer a ride, a tent (or space in one), or a space in a hotel/bnb room.

We'll try to keep this in line, should spammers notice in the next month, and delete the whole thing at the end.

Anonymous commenting is available for folks who don't have LJ accounts, as is OpenID-based auth.

I have a car, a small hatchback. I will drive there from the Boston-ish area, probably on Friday, and back on Monday. I will be transporting my sulky teenager (who is too young to help with the driving.) I can transport 1 or 2 additional people, preferably ones who can take turns with the driving. Note: IT'S A STICK SHIFT.

I need a ride from NJ, a couple miles off I-78 exit 40. I have tent and portable bed and stuff. If someone's willing to come to me and drive my car up, we'd be sure to have space for both of us. (or more, but I'm not sure how much space things take up; Angus always dealt with that in the past decade or so)

elusiveat is teaching a class on Friday, so we're thinking that I would go on ahead on Friday with most of our stuff, and she and the 3 year old would take the bus on Saturday (will need a ride from Pittsfield on that day.) So, things that would be useful:

A ride for one adult + stuff (tent, frame pack, child seat?) from Boston area to Abode on Friday. Happy to help with driving if it's an automatic. Or you can teach me to drive a stick! :-P (And I can help with gas either way.)
A pickup of one adult + toddler in Pittsfield on Saturday
A ride back to the Boston area (ideally Somerville) on Monday for two adults, a toddler, and a bunch of stuff.

Failing all that, we will rent a car, and I would be able to take a few people with me on Friday. I'll track comments bell icon here as well.

Thanks, but we've just now opted to rent a car! So I can also offer a ride to Baitcon from Somerville (or nearby) on Friday. Will have a mid-size or so car packed with stuff for 2 adults and a toddler, so probably just room for 1 or 2 people.
