Baitcon from afar
Aug. 9th, 2005 11:26 amI need space to think about events, and I just realised that I never got around to posting my thoughts.
All in all
We Rocked !
I thought it went incredibly well, from the Ice Cream to the band and the food came off without a hitch, not one meal a minute late(OK, that's one of my issues. The kids were great most of the time, it wasn't a hassle to try to do both mom and cook stuff. Must remember not to try to do mehndi 1 hour before a meal shift, had to wash it off before it did anything interesting. I put a tent up, by myself, in a good spot, and it was the first time I've ever been near a tent. Yea me.
All in all a very satisfying weekend, and next year I might get to play in real kitchen

Date: 2005-08-10 11:51 pm (UTC)Adding to the reasons this might be a good idea is that this recipe was designed to be served the day after when refrigerated and in fact survives freezing with no change in quality whatsoever. I think for baitcon I'd need to prepare at least three large batches.
Another feature of my recipe is that it can be prepared meatless with the meat packaged separately for those who cannot take chicken. The recipe is currently posted friends only within my journal.
