Ever tried making chain mail?

Want to? I took a couple of chain-mail classes at Pennsic last year so I am just a beginner myself, but I plan to bring a pile of rings and pliers to Baitcon and share what I know. I'm trying to get some idea how much interest there is before I make photocopies and divide the rings into packets. I'll probably ask for a dollar or two to cover the cost of the rings, and I hope I'll have enough rings for everyone who's interested. We'll work with aluminum, so if you have some smooth-jawed pliers at home, bring them along. (I've got some I can share, but maybe not enough for everybody.)There's tons of info on the web about making maille. Wikipedia is a good place to start for background, and the end of the entry has some good links for more info. You really could teach yourself, but it helps to have a hands-on to start out.
