"When coming up the mountain road, a) leave plenty of follow room, so that b) you don't want to stop, if at all possible, on the steep parts as starting up again is very hard in a 2 wheel drive vehicle. At the bottom, if someone is in front of you, pause there for a minute or 2 (or 5) to let them get out in front. Then shift in to low gear and drive up carefully. We've already almost lost one who slowed down too much to not hit the person in front of them. See you soon."

There are potholes, and bumps. When I drove up in June, I wasn't worried about damaging the car, but I swerved around them for a more comfortable ride.

You could park at the bottom, Abode willing, when you arrive and walk up to scout.
