In parts of old florida you can find lots of interesting designs from the 60s-80s where people were experimenting with making hurrican resistant structures. The bubbles are common, as are modified geodesic domes, and hanger like styles. there are also some sod covered ones.
yeah, somehow I don't think people would be excited by the combo of Palmetto bugs, 100+ miles from an airport, and it being in Florida. (the only place that I think is a worse idea than South Dakota or Texas)
I got to wonder if that price is a typo. If it's not, just how much of that site is Okeechobee swamp land. It's not that far from Lake Okeechobee. It may be 21 acres, but if 19 or 20 of it is swamp, it's pretty much unusable.
Wow. And then we could hold Baitcon in February when it conflicts with far fewer things ... of course, folks probably wouldn't be able to afford airfare to get there.
