Taiko concert at baitcon

My taiko group (Odaiko New England) has been kind enough to lend me drums for this weekend. Me and some of my close taiko buddies are hoping to give baitcon a taiko concert. We'll also likely be practicing off and on as well.

It is our hope to share taiko (japanese drumming) with you and bring something fun and interesting to baitcon. We're happy to answer and questions. Please also come to me if you have any concerns.

I'm hoping people will enjoy it. I'm very excited and nervous, since this is the biggest show I've put together myself. This is likely the only year I'll do this.

We aren't strictly qualified to teach taiko yet, but we can likely show you the very basics and let you hit the drum some.

Also on July 1 ONE is holding a free intro class at the dojo where someone who is qualified to teach will be there.

Oh yay! I love watching taiko. I don't know the first thing about doing it, but I love watching it.
