between myself and zubatac, we're planning:

sweet new flavors (definitely) :
quince (ice cream)
elderflower (sorbet)
nutella from the jar (ice cream)

savory new flavor (probably):
bagel ice cream with cream cheese swirl

I'm also happy to bring back flavors I made last year and the year before.
Would anyone be interested in reruns of any of these? I heard a vote for desert dessert
and one for sour cherry sour cream already.

sour cherry sour cream (sour cream, sour cherries, and brown sugar)
desert dessert (rose syrup ice cream with baklava, coffee, and honey)
turkey uruguay vietnam (turkish-vietnamese coffee)
pomegranate honey sorbet
yogurt honey ice cream

also, gljiva and I may be making Elmo sorbet for the kids freezing, thanks to vorpalkitten and gljiva (ages 4 and 3) who were pretending it was Baitcon and they were making pretend ice cream with their toys.

And I'm a vote for sour-cherry-sour-cream and the turkish coffee.

I'll warn you that JB loathes elmo and might have to come up with a way to make a Grover sorbet to balance things out :)

hmm. I will bear in mind when shopping. Elmo sorbet was going to be some unknown candy for eyes (I think it's too late to order these (http://www.candylandcrafts.com/images/candyeyeswhite.jpg)
but I will hit a candy in bins store and see what I find) and orange jellybeans, in red kool-aid; so grover could use the same eyes, pink jellybeans, and blue kool-aid.

they were also assigning roles to me, baronet, and themselves to be you, JB, Jess, and Sam. =)

And yes, Elmo is the Evil, Evil Anti-Grover.

It wouldn't be a Grover sorbet, though. Grover Ice Cream. Definitely.
But not blueberry... I don't like blueberry and it's not blue enough. :)

...Now I feel the urge to compose a frozen concoction based on Gonzo. But actually making some Chocolate Steak-Tartare Durian Exploding Surprise would probably get me banned from Baitcon forever.

Grover Ice Cream might have to be cotton candy flavored. Yeah yeah, I know, as a grown up I find the stuff way too sweet for me. But it is the very stuff from which childhood is made. Besides, it's blue and fuzzy!

I think we could probably do that (easy for me to say-- Abbe's doing most of the flavor prep), but I think it needs another name (the "desert" was in part a pun on "Turkish coffee grounds == sand").

But sweet mint tea is as much a desert drink as turkish coffee is - more, really. :)

as a standalone drink, yep.

The first iteration of the flavor was based on zubatac's claim about arabic desserts - that dessert is supposed to be served so sweet that you don't need to sweeten your coffee, you just alternate bites.

however, the coffee syrup swirl was plenty sweetened, and should work as well as a mint tea syrup, so I can probably just do both. :)
