Yeah, this is rather last-minute to be looking for tips as it's too late for us to reasonably acquire anything that someone here doesn't have for us to borrow, but it seemed worth an inquiry...

DD and I will be at Baitcon with our insanely cute 3-month-old. (In fact, his three-month birthday is at Baitcon. Plus nine months is exactly one year and yep, we will happily embarrass him with that factoid for years to come. :) The fabulous BCC have reserved cabin space for us, though we will also be bringing a tent. My feeling is that a nice big bugproof tent would be more comfortable, but DD thinks a cabin is better. In any case, backup seems like a good idea.

What I don't know is where/how he should sleep. We don't have a pack&play or any other sleep-thing that could come to Baitcon. Right now he beds in with us, but on an air mattress that may or may not stay firm all night depending on weather and whatnot, that seems potentially fraught. (We'll bring a travel swing for naps. And of course there's the carseat...)

Any advice, tips, etc? Maybe you have just the right item that you can bring and we can use for the weekend? Something else?

Julian looks forward to meeting y'all. :)

My youngest is 16 years old, so anything we might have had has been given away ages ago. We *did* have a portable play pen that we used; also we'd gotten a 'rocking chair' -- looked like a car seat but emphatically wasn't, being lighter weight in general. This was cause he gurgled when he slept (that the doctor said ws nothing, his lungs were clear, his head was clear...) but having him sleeping slightly tilted up made it less. Supposedly one wouldn't be able to find these now, because omg someone might think it's a carseat... but it's a thought. Definitely think about repurposing other things -- as long as he'll sleep in/on them, does it matter if it was *intended* for baby to sleep on?

I thoroughly recommend *against* air mattresses, unless it's a small one just for him.
