I stumbled upon this; apparently they opened a few weeks ago, out of a semi-permanent shipping container. 2-3 flavors a day, in a setup that looks very similar to the other commercial LN2 ice cream joints I have heard of - plumbed in with a tank below, a valve above and a mixer that it adds the LN2 into to freeze on the fly. They don't plan to make and serve ice cream much longer this season they will have the container operating in some other form in the same location this winter. (They are located in the plaza outside the Harvard Science Center, where Oxford meets Khirkland above Cambridge St. www.churn2.com for more info.)

I was actually too cheap to get any ice cream as the flavors of the day did not tempt me (or, the one that did was not fair to [livejournal.com profile] knedl who was accompanying me at the time.) Baitcon has better options...

On first reading, I thought "fly ice cream" was a new experimental flavor. I... think I'll pass on that one, thanks. :)
