But there's a happy ending. (Perhaps in the hours since you posted at 2am) they updated the story to say that the city attorney told the cranky cops to knock it off.
a happy ending, in my mind, would be one in which said cop, if this is actually true, was found to be unfit to carrying around their gun and badge and dismissed from the force.
