Pre-Baitcon test batches
Jun. 18th, 2007 07:01 pmI just put together my prototype recipe for the Garlic Herb Cream Cheese Ice Cream. This batch should yield somewhere between a pint and 3/4 of a quart. I'm letting it cool down right now and will then run it through the ice cream machine. Here's the recipe for the first version of this stuff:
Garlic Herb Cream Cheese Ice Cream Version 1
Yields 3/4 quart
1 cup 1% milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 oz Alouette Garlic Herb Cheese
1 tbsp light corn syrup
1tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp white pepper
1/4 tsp ground oregano
‘1/2 tsp crushed thyme
juice from 1 jar of minced garlic
1 pinch paprika
If anyone in the Boston area wants to play taste tester for me, all you have to do is come down to Quincy!
