tiger stripe ice cream
May. 7th, 2009 02:02 amFor some reason I have recently remembered a flavor of ice cream I have only tasted in Canada, and that was decades ago. It's called "tiger stripe," "tiger tail," or "tiger tiger," and it's orange ice cream or sherbet with a black licorice swirl. I know that this probably sounds really weird to most people, but I remember loving it and now I am obsessed with the idea of making some for Baitcon.
Problem is, I can't find a recipe for either the specific flavor or for making a licorice swirl. I'm not sure if my google-fu is not up to the task or if Canadians never make it themselves at home. :-} I don't suppose any Canadians who happen to read this could help me out?
