Does anyone have a source for gobs and gobs of free Mardi Gras beads? Or even just a handful? I have another 50 spoons that I'm about to drill holes in to make more necklaces.

Last year Persis gave me 100+ strands of Mardi Gras beads (thank you, Persis!), all of which got turned into spoon necklaces.

Date: 2012-05-30 10:24 pm (UTC)I use little loops of bead chain (like for dog tags) to connect them. I made the first few using bead chain for the whole necklace, but that gets prohibitive when you're making 150 of them.
